Do you desire God?

Hmm....

"For although I burn not with desire so vehemet as theirs who are specially devout towards Thee, yet, through Thy grace, I have a desire after that greatly inflamed desire, praying and desiring to be made partaker with all those who so fervently love Thee, and to be remembered among their holy company." Thomas A Kepmpis.

This is my prayer as well! Maranatha Lord!

Dear TruthWillPrevail,

Though I hesitate to respond to what you posted because it had absolutely nothing to do with the message in the video. (I have to wonder did you even listen to the message in the video and let it provoke your desire for God.) All you got out of a 6 minute clip on being passionate for God was the desire to post an anti-calivinism video clip. Really???
I have no desire to promote or debate Arminianism or Calvinism thru this blog.

And for future reference I have no desire to talk about that debate or to make it a talking point on this blog.

I do not want anyone who deems themselves Calvinist or Non-Calvinist using this as a platform for debate.
Brother or Sister, in sincerity, if we are going to dialogue, let's dialogue about the Lord and His Word not this issue.

I hope you will agree with me and we can move forward, but if not, I regret it because we probably would have a lot to talk about and could enjoy sharing with one another. But as for me, no interest in arminian/calvinist debate.

What's the big deal, anyway? Calvin was just a man--as is Paul Washer as is Jason Johns--flawed and fallen every one of them (no offense, Jason). Anyone who is listening to the words and wisdom of man is on an unstable foundation to begin with. Listen to Christ alone, the one and only Godman. Keep in mind humans will eventually always disappoint you--even pastors!

This was good. So good. We are so quick to draw near and desire the "things of God" rather than God himself. Such a dangerous place to be in. So thankful for this powerful reminder.

"Only to sit and think of God, Oh, what a joy it is! To think the thought, to breath the Name; Earth has no higher bliss. Father of Jesus, loves reward! What rapture it will be, prostrate before thy throne to lie and gaze and gaze on Thee." Fredrerick Faber in "Pursuit of God" Tozer
